Episode 19: Hadeeth (Ask for excellence from My kind-hearted servants…) and Hadeeth (A man went on saying repeatedly…)
Details
Hits: 1934
(18) It was narrated that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Allah, The Almighty, says, Ask for excellence from the kind-hearted among My servants. Enjoy life in their company because I have left My mercy with them and do not ask for this from the hard-hearted among them for they are awaiting My wrath….."
The Verification of the Hadeeth: Its Isnaad (i.e. chain of transmission) is very weak.
It was reported by Al-Kharaa'idy in his book Makaarim Al-Akhlaaq (532) from the route of As-Suday As-Sagheer and ‘Abdel Malik ibn Al-Khattaab and both of them from Daawood ibn Abi Hind from Abi Nadharah from Abi Sa‘eed Al-Khudri as a Marfoo‘ Hadeeth. Its Isnaad is very weak because of As-Suday As-Sagheer whose Hadeeth is Matrook as it was previously stated. As for ‘Abdel Malik ibn Al-Khattaab, Al-Haafith, may Allaah have mercy upon him, said: "His Hadeeth is accept while Ibn Al-Qattaan said, he is unknown." (1)
(19) It was narrated that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "A man went on saying repeatedly: "Ya 'Arhamar Rahimeen (O The Most Merciful of the Merciful), then the man head a voice said to him: 'I have heard you, what do you need (to fulfill it for you)?"
The verification of the Hadeeth: Its Isnaad (i.e. chain of transmission) is weak.
It was reported by Abu Ash-Shaykh in the book of Reward as in Al-Jaami‘ Al-Kabeer (4728), Al-Jaami‘ As-Sagheer (3078) and Imam Al-Albaani, may Allaah have mercy upon him, deemed it weak in his book Da‘eef Al-Jaami‘ (1153).

Episode 20: Hadeeth (Whoever is too busy with the Quran to remember Me and ask Me …)
(20) It was narrated that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The Lord, Blessed and Most High is He, has said: 'Whoever is too busy with the Quran to remember Me and ask Me (1), then I shall give him more than what I give to those who ask.' The superiority of the speech of Allah, The Almighty, compared to all other speech is like the superiority of Allah, The Almighty, over His creation.”
The Verification of the Hadeeth: Its Isnaad (i.e. chain of transmission) is very weak.
It was reported by At-Tirmithi in the book of the virtues of the Noble Quran, the chapter of "How was the recitation (of the Quran) of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him?', No. (2926) from the route of Muhammad ibn Al-Hasan ibn Abi Yazeed Al-Hamadaani from ‘Amr ibn Qays from ‘Atiyyah ‘Al-Awfi from Abu Sa‘eed, may Allaah be pleased with him, as a Marfoo‘ Hadeeth. (2)
It was also reported from the route of Muhammad ibn Al-Hasan by Ad-Daarmi in his book As-Sunan (3359), ‘Abdullaah son of Imam Ahmad, may Allaah have mercy upon him, in the book of As-Sunnah (128) and in Ar-Rad ala Al-Jahmiyyah (286), Al-Bayhaqi in Shu‘ab Al-Imaan (1860), in Al-Asmaa' wa Sifaat (507), in Al-I‘tiqaad (1/101) At-Tabari in Ad-Du‘aa' (1851), Al-‘Uqayli in Adh-Dhu‘afaa' Al-Kabeer (4/49), Muhammad ibn Nasr Al-Marzawi in Qiyaam Al-Layl (209) Abu Na‘eem in Al-Hilyah (5/106), As-Shujari in Al-Amaali (1/61).
Its Isnaad is very weak because of Muhammad ibn Al-Hasan ibn Abi Yazeed Al-Hamadaani about whom Imam Al-Bukhaari, may Allaah have mercy upon him, said: "I think nothing of him" while ibn Hibbaan said: "His Hadeeth is Munkar (3) and reports the trustworthy narrators what is not reported authentically by them." Ibn Ma‘een said: "He is not trustworthy and used to lie." Abu Haatim, Abu Daawood and Al-Haafith ibn Hajar deemed him weak. (4)
Its Isnaad also has ‘Atiyyah ‘Al-Awfi who is known of his weakness. Imam Ahmad, Sufyaan Ath-Thawri, Abu Haatim, An-Nasaa'i and another group of Hadeeth scholars deemed him weak. (5)
Accordingly, the Hadeeth is very weak due to what is stated above, a group of scholars of Hadeeth deemed it weak and Abu Haatim said: "This is a Munkar Hadeeth and Muhammad ibn Al-Hasan is not strong."
Refer to Al-‘Ilal by Abi Haatim (1/613), Al-Mizaan (3/515), Fat-h Al-Baari (9/66), Tuhfat Al-Ahwathi (8/196), Jaami‘ Al-Usool (6287), Tathkirat Al-Mawdhoo‘at (1/76), Al-Fawaa'id Al-Majmoo‘ah by Ash-Shawkaani (296), Tuhfat Ath-Thaakireen (1/389), As-Silsilah Adh-Dha‘eefah (1335), Dha‘eef Al-Jaami‘ (6435) and Dha‘eef At-Tirmithi (24).
