(2) It was narrated that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "When you sneezes, then say: “Alhamdulillah Ka-Karamih, Alhamdulillah Ka ‘Izz Jalaalih (all perfect praise be due to Allah like His Generosity, all perfect praise be due to Allah, The Almighty, like the honor of His Majesty)….) for Allah, The Almighty, says (as a reply for this): ‘Truthful is My worshipper, truthful is My worshipper, truthful is My worshipper. He is forgiven."’

The Verification of the Hadeeth: It has a very weak Isnaad (i.e. chain of transmission).

It was reported by Ibn As-Sunni in ‘Amal Al-Yawm wal Laylah (259) from the route of M‘amar ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Ubayd Allah ibn Abi Raafi‘ from Abi Muhammad, from his father ‘Ubayd Allah from Abi Raafi‘, may Allaah be pleased with him, who said: "I went out with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, from his house towards the mosque while he is taking my hand until we reach Al-Baqee‘(the cemetery of Madeenah). The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, sneezed. He left my hand and then stood up like the confusing person. I said; O Prophet of Allah, Let my mother and father be sacrificed for you. You said something and I did not understand it. He, peace and blessings be upon him, said; "Yes, Jibreel (Gabriel), may Allah exalt his mention, came to me and said if you sneeze, then say: (and mentioned the Hadeeth stated above).

This Hadeeth has a weak Isnaad because it has M‘amar ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Ubayd Allah ibn Abi Raafi‘ about whom Imam Al-Bukhaari, may Allaah have mercy upon him, said: 'The Hadeeth reported by him is Munkar (1).' Ad-Daarqutuni deemed it also weak. Abu Haatim said: 'The Hadeeth reported by him is weak and very Munkar (2).' Ibn Ma‘een said: 'He is not trustworthy or reliable.' Ibn Hibaan said: 'Iraqi people reported from him. He is not like his father because he repeatedly reports inverted narrations. It is not permissible to use them as proof and it is not permissible to report from him except for astonishment.

Al-Haafith said in At-Taqreeb: "The Hadeeths that were reported by him are Munkar."

This Hadeeth also includes his father Muhammad ibn ‘Ubayd Allah ibn Abi Raafi‘ regarding whom Imam Al-Bukhaari, may Allaah have mercy upon him, said: 'The Hadeeth reported by him is Munkar.'

Abu Haatim said: 'The Hadeeth reported by him is weak and very Munkar. Ibn Ma‘een said: 'I have nothing to say about him.' Ibn Hibaan said: 'The Hadeeth reported by him is very Munkar.' He reports from his father what is not similar to the Hadeeths reported by his father and thus when his narrations became full of defects, he deserved to be abandoned (3,4).

Accordingly, this Hadeeth is very week and Al-Haafith deemed it week in Al-Fat-h (10/600) and refer to Al-Jaami‘ Al-Kabeer (286), Kanz Al-‘Umaal (25509), As-Silsilah Adh-Dha‘eefah (1754) and Dha‘eef Al-Jaami‘ (1080).
