Episode 9: Marriage is the key to a new life

By marriage, each spouse completes his/her characteristics: a man completes his manhood by guardianship and bearing responsibility and a woman complete her femininity by being good wife to her husband, begetting children, and preserving the possessions of her husband. Both ahs widened their interests to include the other along with children, each from his own perspective. Ibn `Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: (Every one of you is a guardian, and responsible for what is in his custody. The ruler is a guardian of his subjects and responsible for them; a husband is a guardian of his family and is responsible for it; a lady is a guardian of her husband's house and is responsible for it, and a servant is a guardian of his master's property and is responsible for it." I heard that from Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) and I think that the Prophet (peace be upon him) also said, "A man is a guardian of his father's property and is responsible for it, so all of you are guardians and responsible for your wards and things under your care)(1).  The responsibility of a man is different from that of woman, a man has guardianship and he should hold the expenses of the house in addition to protection. Allah (Glory be to him) says: (male protectors and maintainers of women because Allah at one another and spent the money)(2). A woman has the right to be supported by her husband in terms of expenses but she has to preserve her home and take part along with the husband in raising children, in addition to good and kind treatment from each of them toward one another. Ibn `Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: (.... then a woman came to him and said: I am the messenger of women. By Allah, there is no one of them, whether she knows or does not know, but she would love to be in my place. Allah is the Lord of men and women and their god and you are the Messenger of Allah to men and women. Allah ordained Jihad for men, so if they are injured (in a battle), they shall have the reward and if they are killed, they would be living martyrs at their Lord and are given sustenance, so what has been given to women to equal all these rewards? He said: (Their obedience to their husbands, and having knowledge of their (husbands’) rights, however only few of you know these rights)(3).

Thus appears that marriage is a new life in a new part is sweet, and some are over in the whole pay and the reward for one who is patient and seeks reward.
