Episode 10: Getting the worldly adornment
Getting children who are the adornments of worldly, Allah (Glory be to Him) says: (Wealth and children are the adornment of the life of this world. But the good righteous deeds, that last, are better with your Lord for rewards and better in respect of hope.)(1).
He also says: (Beautified for men is the love of things they covet; women, children, much of gold and silver (wealth), branded beautiful horses, cattle and well-tilled land. This is the pleasure of the present world’s life; but Allah has the excellent return (Paradise with flowing rivers) with Him.)(2)
By marriage, offspring is protected, the human kind is generated, and a new generation comes after an old generation to form the society, establish the Islamic Shari`ah, make the religion superior, and reforming the earth. Allah (Glory be to Him) says: (O mankind! Be dutiful to your Lord, Who created you from a single person (Adam), and from him (Adam) He created his wife [Hawwa’ (Eve)], and from them both He created many men and women; and fear Allâh through Whom you demand (your mutual rights), and (do not cut the relations of) the wombs (kinship). Surely, Allah is Ever an All-Watcher over you.)(3). Multitudinous force is a great power to the nation, and there is no benefit in equipments without a number of people to use them. It also adds to the number of the Muslim nation, therefore the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: (Marry women who are loving and very prolific, for I shall outnumber the peoples by you.)(4).
Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) used to command the Companions with marriage and forbid celibacy severely, and he used to say: (Marry women who are loving and very prolific, for I shall outnumber the peoples by you on the Day of Recompense.
