Praise be to Allah and may the peace and the blessings of Allah be upon His Messenger Muhammad, his family members, his companions and his followers.

Thereafter, in this episode we will mention the rest of the characteristics of the preacher.

5 –Humbleness and Avoiding the Arrogance:

A preacher has to follow the example of the Prophet (may the peace and the blessings of Allah be upon him) who used to welcome young and old, poor and weak, he always asked about them and shared their joys and sympathized in their sorrows and sufferings.

It was narrated that Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) described the Prophet (may the peace and the blessings of Allah be upon him) saying: “A slave-girl of Al Madinah would take hold of the hand of the Prophet (may the peace and the blessings of Allah be upon him) and take him wherever she desired.”  (1)

Moreover, it was narrated on the authority of `Abdur-Rahman from a daughter of Al Khabbab (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: “Al Khabbab was in an expedition and the Prophet (may the peace and the blessings of Allah be upon him) used to care for us, even he milked our goats. She added: “He used to milk the goats until the container was full.” (2)

Therefore, a preacher should be characterized by this manner in order to win the people's love and heart. This manner will ease contact with the mass, because people have been created on the nature of loving humbleness and hating the arrogance.

6 – Coincidence of the Word with the Action:

This is an important quality for a preacher, as his state defines his impact on the people and to what extent he can impress them. So the preacher who practices what he says gives a practical picture of his religion and message. Moreover, Allah (Glory be to Him) has warned of violating this principle, He says: “O you who believe! Why do you say that which you do not do? Most hateful it is with Allâh that you say that which you do not do.” [Surat As-Saff: 2-3]. In addition, Allah Almighty says: “Enjoin you righteousness and each and every act of obedience to Allâh on the people and you forget (to practise it) yourselves, while you recite the Scripture! Have you then no sense?” [Surat Al Baqarah: 44].

7 – Awareness of Invitee's Situation:

The preacher should have enough awareness about the situation of the invitee and he should choose the right time to talk to him about the issue coincides with the situation of the addressee. In addition to that, the preacher should be prudent in choosing the right place for this duty. It all depends on the degree of understanding and assessment of the preacher for practicing Da`wah work in the right time and proper place, upon which the results of this work, either positive or negative would be determined.

These and other similar qualities are necessary for the preacher during his mission, that define the success of this work to a large extent, although the absence of these qualities or some of them hinder the mission work, rather it misinterprets and distorts its bright image.

Moreover, we will start in the following episode, by the will of Allah elucidation of the methodological rules for Da`wah.

May the peace and the blessings of Allah be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family members and his all companions.
