Fundamentals of the preacher for achieving the objectives of the mission – (The first milestone):

Praise be to Allah and may the peace and the blessings of Allah be upon His Messenger Muhammad, his family members, his companions and his lovers.

Thereafter, in this episode we are going to shed light on the fundamentals of the preacher for achieving the objectives of the mission – (The first milestone):

I mean the main points that help a preacher to formulate purpose of Da`wah and defines his mission.

1 – The first point: careful planning:

The call to Allah Almighty is in dire need of precise planning which is important for the preachers of the present day as was for the preachers of the past during the preaching of the Prophet (may the peace and the blessings of Allah be upon him) and the pious ancestors of this nation may Allah be pleased with them.

The researcher of the biography of the Prophet (may the peace and the blessings of Allah be upon him) will find that the Prophet (may the peace and the blessings of Allah be upon him) was always careful of planning. He (may the peace and the blessings of Allah be upon him) used to choose the best personalities as the preachers of the blessed message of Islam who guided the people to right path. That is why the Prophet (may the peace and the blessings of Allah be upon him) sent Mus`ab ibn `Omayr (may Allah be pleased with him) to Al Madinah and Mu`aadh ibn Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) to Yemen and Habib ibn Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) to Musaylimah the Liar. The Prophet Muhammad (may the peace and the blessings of Allah be upon him) used to inform every one of them about the conditions of those communities and their conditions and explained for them what was best for their mission.

The Prophet of Islam (may the peace and the blessings of Allah be upon him) had chosen the house of ibn Abi Al Arqam for training and educating his companions the teaching of Islam. He spent a period of three years calling the people to Islam secretly until his mission has attracted many followers and gained a value in the community of Mecca. Furthermore, the migration of the Prophet (may the peace and the blessings of Allah be upon him) was based on deliberate and concise plan that led to good and positive results.

Undoubtedly, the careful planning for the preaching activities leads to the good results through the shortest way by the grace of Allah Almighty. Especially, when the best tools and the proper methods are used and if the advantage of modern means of communication and advanced modern technology are applied to address the hearts and minds of the people.

It is clear that the seed whatever its quality or goodness may be needs a fertile land, good soil and an appropriate weather for its proper growth, likewise, the right word- although it carries within a natural influential power- demands the preacher to be careful of psychological condition of his addressee when he presents his message to him. As the hearts and souls of the people vary in accepting or refusing the message according to their surrounding circumstances and changing conditions similar to the seasons and weathers that might be appropriate or inappropriate for the growth of a seed.

So it could be concluded that a preacher has to preplan for his missionary activities, but pre-planning does not mean engaging oneself in writing papers, or sitting on the table for long time, but it means to realize his work properly and define his goal that he wants to achieve and ask himself what are the steps that he has to take in the light of the means available to him.

Let us take an example for this: A teacher makes his goal to set right the behavior of his disciples alongside fulfilling his teaching duty, then the planning in this case includes to write down the topics that he wants to explain and measure the time needed for this explanation and evaluation of the level of impact and choosing the manner in which he wants to present his ideas, is it a heart-touching story? Or is it the style of questioning and answering? Or is it the method of encouraging and frightening? And so on. Pre-planning of such kind will lead Da`wah activities to its greatest results by the grace of Allah (Glory be to Him).

Moreover, by the will of Allah we will start in the following episode the explanation of the second point of the fundamentals of calling to Allah Almighty that help achieving the objectives of Da`wah.
