A - Statement: « When Allah intends to create anything, nothing can prevent it (from coming into existence » (*).
B - Statement: «There is no harm if you do not do it, for every soul that is to be born up to the Day of Resurrection will be born» (**).
These are two wordings to the Statement of Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri:
The first wording is the second half of the Statement narrated by Abu Al-Waddak according to him, and which has been previously documented (1).
While the second wording, he has for it a number of lines, including:
The first: Ibn Muhiriz: Narrated by Bukhari (2), Muslim (3), Abu Dawood (4), Maalik (5), Ibn Abu Shaybah (6), Ahmad (7), An-Nisa’ee in – Al-Kubra – (8), Abu Ya’la (9) and At-Tahawy (10), all of them through similar ways, and with some of them like it.
The second: Quz’ah bin Yahya: Narrated by Muslim (11), Abu Dawood (12), At-Tirmidhi (13), Al-Hamidi (14) and An-Nisa’ee in – Al-Kubra – (15), all of them by way of Sufyan bin ‘Uyeinah according to Ibn Abu Nujeih according to Mujahid according to him, by him in a similar way, and it was mentioned by Bukhari (16) as Mu’allaq according to Mujahid, by him.
At-Tirmidhi said: "The Statement of Abu Sa’eed, is good and authentic. It has been narrated from another side according to Abu Sa’eed. A group of scholars, among the Companions of the Prophet, peace be upon him, and others, disliked withdrawal." End of quote.
The third: Abdul Rahman bin Bishr bin Mas'ud: Narrated by Muslim (17), An-Nisa’ee (18), Ahmed (19) and Ad-Daarimi (20), all of them by way of Mohammed bin Sirin, according to him, and his wording: «There is no harm if you do not practice it; for it (the birth of the child) is something ordained ». The wording belongs to Muslim.
The fourth: Mu’abbad bin Sirin: Narrated by Muslim (21), Ibn Tahmaan (22), Ibn Al-Ja'd (23), Ahmed (24) and Abu Ya’la (25), all of them by way of him with similar wording to that of Abdul Rahman bin Bishr.
C - Dr Mohamed Ali Al-Baar said: "In the agreed upon in the two Sahihs: according to Jaabir, may Allah be pleased with him, that he said:" We used to practice withdrawal during the time of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, and that a man came to the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, and said: "I have a slave-girl who is our servant [and she carries water for us] (26) -and in another narration: our water-drawer, which is the same meaning- and I have intercourse with her, but I do not want her to conceive. The prophet, peace be upon him, said: Practice withdrawal, if you so like, but what is decreed for her will come to her. The person stayed back (for some time) and then came and said: The slave-girl has become pregnant, whereupon he said: I told you what was decreed for her would come to her. » (***).
D - Statement: « When Allah intends to create it (the child) [does not] (27) prevent it » (****).
The body of the text, reported by Al-Baar, is two Statements according to Jaabir. But when he omitted the (word) liquid, the two Statements appeared as one Statement:
The first of the two: Jaabir said: (We used to practice withdrawal at the time of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him), which is the one agreed upon (28).
The second one: his saying: "(that a man came to the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him ...) the Statement - which is the one inferred by- and has according to Jaabir ways, which will be mentioned and talked about in the next episode.
