When the resistant to the religion of Allaah The Almighty and His Messenger, peace and blessing be upon him, are defeated in the dialogue with the Messengers of Allaah, may Allaah exalt their mention, and the truth is proved against them, they resort to us some other ways to defame them and belittle their invitation. Amongst these means are as follows:
1-Physical abuse and killing as it was occurred to some of the Prophets of Allaah, may Allaah exalt their mention, such as Idrees (Idris), Zakarya (Zechariah) and many others, may Allaah exalt their mention. Allaah The Almighty says (what means): {Because of their breaking the covenant, and of their rejecting the Ayaat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allaah, and of their killing the Prophets unjustly, and of their saying: "Our hearts are wrapped (with coverings, i.e. we do not understand what the Messengers say)" - nay, Allaah has set a seal upon their hearts because of their disbelief, so they believe not but a little.} [Quran 4: 155]
He The Exalted also says (what means): { We shall record what they have said and their killing of the Prophets unjustly, and We shall say: "Taste you the torment of the burning (Fire)."} [Quran 3: 181]
Polytheists and hypocrites tried to kill the Messenger of Allaah, peace and blessing be upon him. Furthermore, they harmed and fought him and his companions, may Allaah be pleased with them. They used towards them all forms of torment and mockery. It was narrated that ‘Amr Ibn Al-‘Aas, may Allaah be pleased with him, said: “While the Prophet, peace and blessing be upon him, was praying in the Hijr of the Ka‘bah; ‘Uqba ibn Abi Mu‘ayt came and put his garment around the Prophet's neck and throttled him violently. Abu Bakr, may Allaah be pleased with him, came and caught him by his shoulder and pushed him away from the Prophet, peace and blessing be upon him, and said, "Would you kill a man just because he says: ‘My Lord is Allaah, and he has come to you with clear signs (proofs) from your Lord?”’
2-Mocking them and accusing them falsely that they are mad, magicians, dealing with jinn or the like. Allaah The Almighty says (what means) addressing His Messenger, peace and blessing be upon him: {And indeed (many) Messengers were mocked at before you (O Muhammad, peace and blessing be upon him), but I granted respite to those who disbelieved, and finally I punished them. Then how (terrible) was My Punishment!} [Quran 13: 32]
He The Exalted also says (what means): {Indeed (many) Messengers were mocked before you (O Muhammad, peace and blessing be upon him), but the scoffers were surrounded by that, whereat they used to mock.} [Quran 21: 41]
He The Exalted also says (what means): {Alas for mankind! There never came a Messenger to them but they used to mock at him.} [Quran 36: 30]
The Messengers of Allaah, may Allaah exalt their mention, were accused of madness as it was stated in the saying of Allaah The Almighty: {The people of Nuh (Noah) denied (their Messenger) before them, they rejected Our slave, and said: "A madman!" and he was insolently rebuked and threatened.} [Quran 54: 9]
He The Exalted also says (what means): {And they say: "O you (Muhammad, peace and blessing be upon him) to whom the Dhikr (the Quran) has been sent down! Verily, you are a mad man.} [Quran 15: 6]
They, moreover, accused the Messenger of Allaah, peace and blessing be upon him, that he is a magician and poet as it was stated in the saying of Allaah The Almighty: {And (they) said: "Are we going to abandon our Aliha (gods) for the sake of a mad poet?} [Quran 37: 36]
Ahmad Shawqi, the poet, said:
When you called people the sane only responded,
While the ignorant turned a deaf ear.
They refused to get out of their illusions,
Really, people in their illusion are prisoners.
And amongst minds there are brooks and rocks,
And amongst souls there are free and slaves.
They envied and said poet or magician,
Mocking only comes from the enviers.
O you; the illiterate, it is a sufficient rank for you,
That scholars are in debt for you in knowledge (i.e. you taught them knowledge).
By you, O the son of ‘Abdullaah, it was established,
With truth to be a great religion of guidance.
However, what after mocking and ridiculing the Prophet, peace and blessing be upon him? Can this cause any harm to the Prophet, peace and blessing be upon him, or belittle him, let my mother, father and everything be sacrificed for him? Or will this increase the noble status of him with Allaah The Almighty and increase the love of the believers to him and defending him, not to mention the curse and punishment that waits those who mock him. Allaah The Almighty says (what means): {Verily, those who annoy Allaah and His Messenger (peace and blessing be upon him) Allaah has cursed them in this world, and in the Hereafter, and has prepared for them a humiliating torment.} [Quran 33: 57]
He The Exalted also says (what means) addressing His Messenger, peace and blessing be upon him: {Truly! We will suffice you against the scoffers.} [Quran 15: 95]
This is actually a promise from Allaah The Almighty to his Messenger, peace and blessing be upon him, that the plots of those who mock him is weak and that He, the Most Glorified, has committed himself to protect the Prophet, peace and blessing be upon him, and punish whoever does badly to him with a word or an action.
Allaah The Almighty has spoken the truth when He says (what means): {But the evil plot encompasses only him who makes it.} [Quran 35: 43]
We come to know that mocking made by such the Danish newspapers and those who support them is just another form of the mocking and ridiculing that the Polytheists have started at the advent of the Prophethood of the Prophet, peace and blessing be upon him, and then this heinous act was continued by the Jews and hypocrites in Medina after emigration. Amongst the examples of such mocking are as follows:
1-Accusing him by saying that he is a magician, charlatan, and poet.
2-Accusing him by saying that he is taught by Christian monks (as Allaah The Almighty says on their behalf): {It is only a human being who teaches him (Muhammad, peace and blessing be upon him)."} [Quran 16: 103]
3-Mocking his prayer and putting abdominal contents of the camel on the back of the Prophet, peace and blessing be upon him (while he was prostrating).
4-Boycotting and making all things difficult for him into the mountain trail called Shi‘b Abi Talib.
5-Claiming that he, peace and blessing be upon him, and his companions are greedy and ravenous.
6-Claiming that he, peace and blessing be upon him, and his companions are coward, weak and timid.
7-Accusing him, peace and blessing be upon him, and his companions that they are impolite and garrulous.
8-Claiming that his Sharee‘ah (Islamic revealed laws) are defective, and the like that cannot be listed in this article, not to mention the attempts of physical abuse and killing that they have plotted until he, peace and blessing be upon him, died poisoned.
We become know that slandering the Prophet, peace and blessing be upon him, his Sunnah (way of life), and Sharee‘ah is the practice that adopted by all the disbelievers; Jews and Christians, and their followers of the hypocrites, even if they dressed in the clothes of reform and feeling grief for Sharee‘ah and society. Allaah The Almighty says (what means): {And when it is said to them: "Make not mischief on the earth," they say: "We are only peacemakers."} [Quran 2: 11]
From the above mentioned discussion we can conclude three important results:
Firstly, Realizing this reality and that it will persist as long as conflict between the people of truth and the people of falsehood persists.
Secondly, Not neglecting this, taking continuous actions, going on inviting people to Allaah The Almighty and establishing His Sharee‘ah, seeking to achieve a real reform, no matter the cawing of those people and those who are like them is, no matter the pretentious false grief of the hypocrite is and the deception of those who are like them is, and no matter the misconceptions that those who look like advisors spread are.
Thirdly, final end will be surely for the truth and its people, if they adhered firmly to things discussed above, as it was for the Messengers of Allaah, may Allaah exalt their mention, and as it was for the Messenger, peace and blessing be upon him, and his companions, may Allaah be pleased with them. Let the people of truth rejoice, be optimistic, and expect all good for Allaah The Almighty has full power and control over His Affairs.
