Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "My similitude in comparison with the other Prophets before me is that of a man who has built a house nicely and beautifully, except for a place of one brick in a corner. The people go about it and wonder at its beauty, but say: Would that this brick be put in its place! He said: So, I am that brick, and I am the last of the Prophets." (1)

Explanation of vocabulary (2):

(a brick) is made of clay that is knead then is dried and used in buildings.

Lessons gained from the Hadith:

1- Imam An-Nawawy said: The Hadith contains the merit of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and that Allah sealed the Messengers with him and perfected the codes of religions with him. (3)

2- The need of humanity to his mission to complete the messages of other Prophets and seal their legislations is great.

3- Allah (Glory be to Him) sent Muhammad (peace be upon him) for human and jinn as well starting from his mission to the establish of the Hour, therefore his Shari`ah came perfect, comprehensive, and fit for every time and place until the end of time.

4- No Prophet will come after the Prophet (peace be upon him) which is a proof against all those who claimed prophethood after his mission anciently and recently.

5- The Prophets (peace be upon them) were beacons to guide the people and callers for goodness and the people follow them. Their religion is one which is based on monotheism and singling out Allah with worship. In spite of their different legislations, it is obligatory to have faith in them and loving them. All codes and legislations were abrogated by the legislation of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), so there is no way to happiness and success except by having faith in him, loving him, and following his guidance.

6- The Hadith is a good example to illustrate the image in the mind.
