It was reported in another Hadith that Satan may tie knots at the organs of ablution, but when a Muslim performs ablution, knots are undone.
Imam Ahmad reported in his Musnad and Ibn Hibban in his Sahih with his own wordings from the Hadith of `Uqbah ibn `Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) saying: "When a man from my nation gets up to perform Salah at night, striving against his own self to get up and purify himself while there are knots on him [Knots made be Satan to prevent him from waking up]. When he washes his hands in ablution, one knot is undone. When he washes his face, another knot is undone. When he wipes his head another knot is undone. When he washes his feet, another knot is undone. Then Allah says to those who are veiled (in the Unseen): Look at this servant of Mine, he is striving against his own self to ask Me. Whatever My Servant asks of Me shall be his. Whatever My Servant asks of Me shall be his." [Reported by Imam Ahmad in his Musnad (4/201) and Sahih Ibn Hibban No. 2555].
These are four knots that are undone from a Muslim by ablution. By washing the hands, a knot is undone, by washing the face, another knot is undone, by wiping the head, another knot is undone, and by washing the feet, another knot is undone. They are true knots which Satan ties on a person's head to de-energize man from goodness and discourage him to obey Allah.
It was reported in Sahih Al Bukhari and Sahih Muslim on the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "When any one of you awakes up from sleep and performs ablution, he must clean his nose three times, for the devil spends the night in the interior of his nose." [Sahih Al Bukhari No. 3295 and Sahih Muslim No. 238].
Some of the people of knowledge said that whoever mentions Allah upon going to sleep and recites the authentically reported Adhkar is not included in these Hadiths and is safe against these knots because it was reported in some of these Hadiths that whoever recites these Adhkar shall be guarded by Allah and Satan cannot approach him until the morning. [Masa'ib Al Insan Min Maka'id Ash-Shaytan of Ibn Muflih p. 75].
Furthermore, the one who continues his sleep and becomes sluggish until he misses the Fajr Salah will be subject to Satan and Satan will urinate in his ear as the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) told us. It was reported in Sahih Al Bukhari and Sahih Muslim from the Hadith of Ibn Mas`ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "A person was mentioned before the Prophet (peace be upon him) and he was told that he had kept on sleeping till morning and had not got up for Salah. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: He is a man in whose ears (or ear) Satan had urinated."
Such a person will wake up in the morning while all knots are tied in addition to the urination of Satan in his ears; and such a person shall be ruined and a loser. It was reported from Ibn Mas`ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "It is enough loss and evil for a person to sleep until the morning and Satan urinates in his ears because he did not mention Allah in the night to be protected until the morning." Al Hafizh ibn Hajar said: It is an authentic saying.
