Amongst the lessons drawn from the above-mentioned Hadeeth (1):
1- Establishing proof against the opponent and refuting his claims with truth where there is a need for that.
2- The Messenger of Allaah, peace and blessing be upon him, ordered the Ansaar to gather together in one place and did not call anybody else along with them. The wisdom behind this may be that he, peace and blessing be upon him, wanted to explain for them their virtue and faith and his love to them and what will happen which others do not share them.
3- The good manners of the Ansaar when they gave up dispute, their great example of bashfulness and explaining that this was done by their youngsters not their wise and learned men.
4- This Hadeeth implies great virtues of Ansaar for the Messenger of Allaah, peace and blessing be upon him, praised them greatly.
5- The elder person draw the attention of the young to what he may neglect and explain for him the mistake so that he may adopt truth.
6- This Hadeeth implies gentle reproof through establishing proof against the one who is reproved, apology and regretful acknowledgement of the mistake, where the Prophet, peace and blessing be upon him, explained with his words their virtue saying: “But by Allaah, you might have answered and answered truly, for I would have testified to its truth myself: ‘You came to us belied and rejected and we accepted you; you came to us as helpless and we helped you; a fugitive, and we took you in; poor and we comforted you’.
7- This Hadeeth implies one of the signs of the Prophethood of the Prophet, peace and blessing be upon him, for his statement: "No doubt, you will see other people favoured over you, and that was actually came true."
8- The Imaam (i.e. ruler, governor, etc) has the right to prefer some people to some others regarding Fay' and that he may give the rich from it for an interest.
9- There is no blame on the one who asks for his right of the worldly life.
10- The perfection of the character of the Prophet, peace and blessing be upon him, and his perfect appreciation to the weakness and hoping for getting the worldly life that may afflict souls. He, peace and blessing be upon him, explained for them preferring others to them in giving. Also, he, peace and blessing be upon him, pointed out to them what Allaah The Almighty has privileged them with such as guidance, success, his love for them and preferring them to others and thus souls calmed down and accepted what Allaah The Almighty has given them with all satisfaction.
11- The prescription of giving speech whenever something occurs, whether it is a special or public.
12- The permissibility of giving speech to some certain people.
13- Consoling the one who has missed something of the worldly life with the reward that he will get in the Hereafter and giving precedence to the matter of the Hereafter to that of the worldly life, showing patience towards what was missed from it to be saved for one in the Hereafter the Hereafter is better and more enduring.
14- Encouraging seeking guidance, affection and richness.
15- The complete favor is for Allaah The Almighty and His Messenger, peace and blessing be upon him, ever. That is because He the Exalted is the One Who guides for worshiping Him, He The Exalted is the One Who rewards for that, He The Exalted is the One Who gives and Withholds, in His hand is all good and He The Exalted is Able to do all things.
16- Muslim individual should know the great virtue and status of Al-Ansaar, love them, send blessing on them, study their manners and biographies, and follow their footsteps. May Allaah gather us with in the Garden of Pleasures.
