The Best of Speech has Several Aspects of Goodness:

There are many and several aspects of goodness, beauty and perfection in the best of speech i.e. The Noble Quran. Scholars throughout different ages and successive centuries have discussed them.

Although its describers did their best to describe its beauty, time will end while it still has great attributes that cannot be described

Such is some of what they have stated and written regarding the beauty and perfection of the Noble Quran:

1- The unique inimitability of the Arabic Noble Quran along with its brevity and amazing rhetoric language.

2- – The inimitability of the composition and style of the Arabic Noble Quran. Its revelation presented a style of Arabic that is very different from the regular usage of Arabic not to mention the highly developed methods of composition, prose and poetry of the Arabs. This confused minds and never guided to bring something like it although there are many reasons to do so such as rebuking them for not being able to bring something like it.

What is meant with its inimitability of the composition and style is its general form i.e. it has chapters; some of them are long, moderate and short, in addition to this, the composition of its verses and their breaks. Arabs never saw something like this. All what they had were poetry, prose, sermons and wills.

3- The news of bygone generations and vanished nations:

At the time of sending down of the Quran, there were amongst all the "People

of the Book", meaning people who received the Torah and the Ingeel (Gospel of

Jesus), just one scholar who had devoted his entire life to the study of some of these aspects, there were others; however, they were not so well versed and their knowledge was incomplete. Allah, The Almighty, told us that this is one of the aspects of its miraculous nature such as His exalted saying:

•   {That is from the news of the unseen which We reveal to you, [O Muْammad]. And you were not with them when they cast their pens as to which of them should be responsible for Mary. Nor were you with them when they disputed.} [Quran 3: 44]

•   {And you, [O Muhammad], were not on the western side [of the mount] when We revealed to Moses the command, and you were not among the witnesses [to that]. But We produced [many] generations [after Moses], and prolonged was their duration. And you were not a resident among the people of Madyan, reciting to them Our verses, but We were senders [of this message].} [Quran 28: 44-45]

The verses negated the idea that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, has the knowledge of something of this for this is totally a Divine Revelation.

4- Matters relating to a future time and unseen affairs that some of them occurred during the time of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, while some others occurred after him.

5- The fear and awe that arouses hearts upon listening to the Noble Quran.

6- A kaleidoscope of the Noble Quran's inimitability. It has been observed that neither the reciter nor listener ever tires of its recital. It has been found that the repeated recitation of the Noble Quran serves only to increase its sweetness which in turn causes a greater love (whereas, other words, even though they may be of the most eloquent lose their attraction and in the long term turn to be tedious). Also, it is easy to be memorized and recited.

7- The protection of the Noble Quran until the end of time.

8- The Noble Quran has different sciences and knowledge which are of endless miracles and benefits (1).

9- The inspiration of the Noble Quran as Mr. Muhammad Fareed Wajdy said it is an inspiration from Allah, The Almighty: {And thus We have revealed to you an inspiration of Our command. You did not know what is the Book or [what is] faith…} [Quran 42: 52]

Due to this, it has the same effect of spirit on bodies. It motivates them and controls their desires. As for the effect of words on feelings, it does not go beyond amusing and getting its praise. The saying of Allah, The Almighty: {And thus We have revealed to you an inspiration…} is sufficient in guiding us to the miraculous nature of Quran and the inability of humans and jinn to bring something like it.

Being preserved and protected until our present time is actually a miracle glitters in its divine light and beauty. As long as the Noble Quran is an inspiration from the command of Allah, The Almighty, it is a natural thing to have a special inspiration which is one of the aspects of its miraculous nature and the greater reason being the inability of humans and jinn to bring something like the shortest chapter of it and the terror that afflicts tyrants and oppressors when they hear it, not to mention, the Divine Inspiration of the words.

Surely, the miraculous aspect of this Noble Divine Book is the high inspiration that changed the shape of the whole world. Such few group in number gained the caliphate of the earth and overcame the most tyrant and oppressing people until they became the kings of kings and brothers of angels in a period that can be easily counted on our fingers. Our Almighty Allah, The Almighty, says (what means): {…He places the inspiration of His command upon whom He wills of His servants…} [Quran 40: 15]

There is absolutely no doubt that the Noble Quran is very eloquent and that it muted with its eloquence the scholars of rhetoric language, leaders of speeches, masters of poetry, and kings of prose. The Noble Quran is wise and surprises all the well-verses scholars of logic and philosophy, astonished the professors of law and Sharia, and confused the masters of systems and constitutions. The Noble Quran is truth and establishes proof against every extremist and provided every research proofs. The Noble Quran leaves nothing small or great except that it has enumerated it. The Noble Quran is guidance, mercy, light and healing for what is in the breasts. All of such great characteristics affect intellect, emotion, feelings, and inclinations. Thus, it controls them in much the same way as the king controls his kingdom. Above all of such things, the Noble Quran is an inspiration from Allah, The Almighty, that affects the human soul in a way that the rays of rhetoric language and wisdom cannot affect it. It runs from the deepest of its meaning to an area that no mind or poet can imagine. This inspiration penetrates the bottom of one’s heart and conscience and controls the origin of his life, his passions and feelings and makes him a new person in a way if it is said to him, he will not realize it.

Have not you seen how it (such inspiration) has changed such Arabs who remained thousands of years on one state and never changed from it or got fed up with it? It has provided them with high spirit, the thing that helped them to overcome kings and tyrants. Moreover, they did not end up their journey until the whole world became in debt for them. Is there any other proof of the change of their souls greater than this? Nation that was separated and scattered everywhere and had no political relationship, or nationality, or religion that can gather them together in the harshest and most barren spot of earth that is away from order and wisdom, great hopes and conquering. After some few years from sending Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, they began to disseminate virtue, morality, perfection all over this disturbed world, amid such annoying trials. Is there any greater proof better than this to prove that Quran is a Divine Inspiration and command? Is there any miraculous aspect after witnessing such great effect that has more power on souls, more effective in dissipating doubts and more appropriate to be accepted than the aspect of its inspiration? In fact, the Noble Quran has, besides its rhetoric language, greatness, wisdom, and explanation, an inspiration that is realized by the one who is not gifted with understanding words, evaluating wisdom and realizing rhetoric language. Do not you see that how the child and the lay person is covered with fear when the Noble Quran is recited even without a good voice? Even they can easily differentiate between what is from Quran and what is not if the reciter wants to deceive them. Such inspiration appears also clearly when one of its verses stated as a means of citation in a large page. One can easily see the verse of the Noble Quran glitters among lines and composition like the sun when it is fully up, regardless of the degree of the clearness of such page and its status of beauty and style and eloquence of words.

Such great inspiration appears to the one who has knowledge of language and the one who is ignorant. As for appearing to the one who knows it, it is so clear and needs no explanation. As for appearing to the one who is ignorant with it among the foreign nations, it is so clear with its effect and results. It is very easy to witness that the Arab individual who was butcher, trader, shepherd and had such ignorance and not respecting laws and all other things that people know about him. Today, he came to lead an army with which he overcame the most tyrant people in the world and then went into such oppressed nation and then made it secure regarding its religion, laws, properties and honors and be more merciful to it than its heads, kinder to it than its government. He only came to disseminate within it justice and benevolence and fill it with generosity and benefits.

Whoever contemplates such amazing matter and does not acknowledge that the Arab person has acquired a new spirit that he never had before and is not among the spirits exist in the normal sublime souls and people of virtues, then how one cannot find proofs on such inspiration while he became seek help of the one who used to fear, learn from the one whom he used to see the most ignorant, and adopt the characters of the one whom he used to see wild (2).
