Secondly, the Meaning of the Hadeeth:
The virtues of the Noble Quran compared to all what Allah, The Almighty, revealed of the previous books and what He, The Exalted, sent down to all of His prophets from Adam to the last one Muhammad, may Allah exalt their mention, are really invaluable and immeasurable.
In fact, this is explained clearly in the Hadeeth we are discussing: "The superiority of the speech of Allah compared to all other speech is like the superiority of Allah over His creation.”
That is because the Noble Quran is the real words of Allah, The Almighty, that is not created. It originally comes from Him and will eventually return to Him. It is one of the characteristics of Allah, The Almighty. All the attributes of our Almighty Allah befits well His Perfection and are not like any of the attributes of human beings. Therefore, drawing near to Him through His Exalted Words which is a permanent attribute to Him is one of the greatest matters that can bring one near to Him. And Allah knows best.
As long as the Noble Quran is the speech of Allah, The Almighty, then it is the best of all things, the greatest of all things and the most beloved thing to Allah, The Almighty, away from all other things, and the one who is engaged in reciting, contemplating it thoughtfully and acting open it is included in the circle of Allah's, The Almighty, pleasure.
No one can count the great virtues and sublime graces that Allah, The Almighty, bestowed over His creation through sending down such Book which is superior over all the speeches that our Allah, The Almighty, sent down or revealed, then how about if it is compared to the words of any of His creation which are not divine? (1).
Al-Imam As-San‘aani, may Allaah have mercy upon him, said: "The superiority of the Noble Quran, compared to all the Books of Allah, The Almighty, or others, is like the superiority of Allah, The Almighty, over His creation. That is because it is the speech of our Almighty Allah, The Almighty, the One Whom words can never describe His Highness and vision will return to you humbled while it is fatigued to comprehend His words. His speech is the most honorable speech, its meanings are the best ones that may ever occur to minds, and the one who memorizes it has many virtues comparing to the one who memorizes any other words (2).
