1- It was reported that Jubray ibn Mut‘am reported from his father, may Allaah be pleased with them, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Have glad tidings! Verily one end of this Quran is in the Hand of Allah, The Almighty, and another end is in your hands, so hold firm with it. Adhere to it for you will not be destroyed and you will never go astray after [receiving] it."

The verification of the Hadeeth:

1- It was reported by Ibn Hibbaan in his Saheeh, Hadeeth No. 122, (1/329). It was also reported by At-Tabaraany in Al Kabeer, Hadeeth No. 1539, (2/126) from Jubayr, and (22/188, No. 491) from Abi Shurayh Al-Khuzaa‘i and Imam Al-Albaani, may Allaah have mercy upon him, deemed it Saheeh (authentic) in his book Saheeh Al-Jaami‘ (1/69, No. 34).

2- It was also narrated on the authority of Abi Sa‘eed Al-Khudri, may Allaah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The Noble Quran is the rope of Allah, The Almighty, that is stretched between the heaven and the earth."

The Verification of Hadeeth:

It was reported by Imam Ahmad, may Allaah have mercy upon him, (3/14), Ibn Abi Shaybah in his book Al-Musanaf (71176), No. 5, and Imam Al-Albaani, may Allaah have mercy upon him, deemed it Saheeh (authentic) in his book Saheeh Al-Jaami‘ (4473) and As-Silsilah As-Saheeh (2024).

3- It also narrated on the authority of Ibn ‘Abbaas, may Allaah be pleased with them, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, addressed the people in the Farewell Pilgrimage saying: "O people, I have left you with something which, if you hold fast to it, you will never go astray: that is, the Book of Allah, The Almighty, and the Sunnah of His Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him."

The Verification of the Hadeeth:

It was reported by Al-Haakim in Al-Mustadrak (1/172, No. 318) and said: "It has Saheeh Isnaad (i.e. good chain of transmission)." Imam Al-Bukhaari, may Allaah have mercy upon him, rejected this because of ‘Ikrimah while Imam Muslim, may Allaah have mercy upon him, rejected this by the father of Uways and it has basis in the Saheeh. It was also reported by Al-Bayhaqi in Al-Kubra (20123) and Imam Al-Albaani, may Allaah have mercy upon him, deemed it Saheeh (authentic) in his book Saheeh At-Targheeb (40).
