Secondly: Evidence of its allegory from the Sunnah itself:
As the verses of the Holy Quran indicated the allegory of the Sunnah, the necessity to follow it and adherence to its regulations, the noble Sunnah itself contained evidence and proofs that it is a religious necessity, one must take into consideration and commit to what is therein of regulations, and warned of the disguises of coverts and deviants from its path, and there is an abundance of Statements pointing out to that:
1 - Bukhari narrated from Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, according to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him: "All my nation will enter Paradise except those who refuse. They said: O Messenger of Allah! Who will refuse? He said: Whoever obeys me will enter Paradise, and whoever disobeys me is the one who refuses (to enter it)." (1).
2 - Abu Dawood and At-Tirmidhi narrated from Abu Rafi', may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Let me not find one of you reclining on his couch, when he hears something regarding me which I have commanded or forbidden, and says: We do not know. What we found in Allah's Book we have followed." (2).
3 - At-Tirmidhi narrated from Al-Miqdad bin Ma'diyakrib, may Allah be pleased with him, said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Beware! Would a man expect that an utterance from me reaches him, while he is reclining on his couch, and says: between you and us the Book of Allah, what we found therein as permissible we permitted it, and what we found therein as forbidden we forbade it, and that the Messenger of Allah forbade not as Allah forbade"(3).
The wording of Abu Dawood said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Beware! I have been given the Quran and something like it, yet the time is coming when a replete man on his couch will say: Keep to the Quran; what you find in it to be permissible treat as permissible, and what you find in it to be prohibited treat as prohibited. Beware! The domestic ass, beasts of prey with fangs, a find belonging to confederate, unless its owner does not want it, are not permissible to you If anyone comes to some people, they must entertain him, but if they do not, he has a right to swindle them to an amount equivalent to his entertainment."(4).
Is becomes clear, from the previous three Statements, the following:
A - That the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, dissolves himself from those who ignore acting upon his Tradition, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and those on whom the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, declares immunity and sends his wrath on him, Allah dissolves Himself from him and sends His wrath on him, Allah forbids.
B - That ignorance and lack of understanding in the religion, and vanity with prestige and wealth may lead the human being to advocate separation between the Book and the Sunnah, and this poses a great danger to the faith and religion of whom falls in it.
C - That what the Prophet legislates, he did not legislate it from himself as a human being, but from that which Allah granted him, Allah granted him the Quran and something like it, so his Tradition, peace be upon him, a proclamation from Allah and an education, revealed just like the Quran. In the Quran the essential issues and in the Tradition the explanation of the vague and expansion of the issues, etc...
Therefore, we find that the Prophet associates the action upon the Tradition with the action upon the Book, such as in the following Statement:
Imam Maalik ibn Anas, may Allah be pleased with him, said: "I have heard that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said:" I have left two matters with you. As long as you hold to them, you will not go astray: the Book of Allah and the Tradition of His Messenger "(5), so he who forsakes acting upon the Tradition goes astray, his example in that is like the one who leaves acting upon the Quran.
4 - At-Tirmidhi and others narrated from Abdullah bin Mas'ood, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "May Allah gaze upon a person who heard my disquisition, understood it, memorised it and transmitted it, for many a one who is a holder of jurisprudence to someone who is more learned in jurisprudence than himself" (6).
Ash-Shaafi'i said: "When the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, beckoned to hear his disquisition, memorise it and transmit it...he indicated that he does not order to transmit from him only that which an argument stands on whom it is transmitted, because he will transmit from him a permissible matter to be had, a forbidden matter to keep away from, a limit to be served, what is taken and given and advice in religious and worldly matters "(7).
Al-Bayhaqi said: "Had it not been for the proof of evidence of the Tradition, he would not have said, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, in his sermon, after instructing those who were present of their religion:" Behold! Let him who is present convey to him who is absent, for many a one whom a message is conveyed has a more retentive memory than one who hears."(8).
5 – According to Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Avoid that which I prohibited you to do and do that which I commanded you to do to the best of your capacity." (9).
This Statement is in agreement with the saying of the Almighty: (then let those beware who withstand the Apostle's order, lest some trial befalls them, or a grievous penalty inflicted on them.) [An-Nur /63].
And Statements other than that are many, and in what we mentioned sufficiency and adequacy. We move on to the evidence of its allegory from the consensus.
